noun + del + [masculine] noun
Prepositions are invariable words that serve as a link between the different parts of a sentence and introduce complements. In Spanish there are only two recognized forms of contractions: "al" (formed by the preposition a plus the article el) and "del" (formed by the preposition of de plus the article el). In this lesson we will focus on "del" which can mean "from the" and "of the," among other things.
